Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on January 30, 2020 to determine compliance with the licensing standards. There were nine children present, ranging in age from 1 year to 5 years old, totaling 19 points. There were two caregivers present. The children were engaged in free play with Magna-Tiles and the kitchen set. Lunch served today: spaghetti, broccoli, and milk. Provider does not administer medication - Medication Administration Training is required to administer medicine. Provider's first aid and CPR certification was renewed 8/14/2019. Five children?s files and three caregiver files were reviewed - see Supplemental Summary for details. Time of today's inspection: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A
Description: Based on review of three caregiver files, the facility failed to have a current tuberculosis test on file for each caregiver. Evidence: Caregiver 2 did not have documentation of a current tuberculosis test on file (expired 6/2019).

Plan of Correction: Caregiver 2 will get documentation of a current tuberculosis test for the file.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-210-A
Description: Based on review of three caregiver files, the provider failed to have at least 16 hours of annual training for each caregiver. Evidence: Caregiver 2 and Caregiver 3 had documentation of 12 hours of the required 16 hours of annual training on file.

Plan of Correction: All caregivers will get the required 16 hours of annual training each year.
