Comments:
Licensing inspector arrived at 10:12 am and departed at 12:15 pm to conduct a licensing inspection and a Subsidy Health and Safety inspection. At the time of the tour there were 51 children in care with 9 staff . Additional staff were present. Children were observed watching a education video, word recognition, coloring, story time and board games. The sample size consisted of 5 children records and 5 staff records.
Based on record review , the licensee did not ensure children arrival attendance is taken when it occurs.
Evidence:
In the infant classroom, two of the nine children were not documented on attendance as arrived.
In the two year old classroom, one of the eleven children were not documented on attendance as arrived.
In the school age classroom, two of the twenty -three children were not documented on attendance as arrived.
Plan of Correction:
The center will meet with staff review attendance requirements.
