Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on 08/24/2020 and concluded on 08/24/2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were no children present and 1 staff. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with subsidy regulations, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. Based on record review and interview with provider, staff did not complete all required training annually. Evidence: 1) The records for Staff #1 and Staff #2 did not contain documentation of having completed the Virginia Health and Safety Update Training for Child Care Staff. 2) The provider stated that they did not complete the training.
Plan of Correction:
Staff #1-#2 shall complete the training and include documentation in their records.
