Technical Assistance:
Technical Assistance was offered regarding the Virginia Health and Safety Update training to be completed by March 2020.
Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 1/7/20 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 4 children (10 points) present with 1 caregiver. Children were observed engaged in play with educational and home living toys. Children's , household member's and caregiver's records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Based on record review, the family day home did not practice shelter in place drills twice a year. Evidence: The most recent shelter in place drill was conducted on 1/3/19. The second drill for 2019 was not practiced.
Plan of Correction:
I will make sure that the drills are completed and documented.
