A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 10:00am-12:30pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 11 children (1 child was the Provider's son) at the start of the inspection for a total of 28 points. One additional child arrived about an hour and a half after the inspection began, making the total 12 children and 29 points with two caregivers. A sample size of 5 children's records, 3 caregiver/household member records, the home, emergency materials, and the attendance were reviewed. The children were observed having circle time in English and in Spanish, singing songs, naming parts of the face, washing hands, and eating their lunch.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
