Discussed the timing of Tb screenings
Comments:
Licensing Inspector arrived at 10:30 and departed at 11:30 AM to conduct a subsidy health and safety inspection in conjunction with a religiously exempt code compliance inspection . At the time of the inspection there were 19 children (ages 2 1/2 through six) in care with three staff. An additional ten school age children were on a field trip to the park with two additional staff. Children at the facility were observed preparing for and eating lunch, coloring and singing songs.
Based on review of four staff records, it was determined that the vendor did not ensure that all staff obtained subsequent tuberculosis (Tb) screenings every two years.
Plan of Correction:
The most recent Tb screening for staff #2 was dated 10/16/16 and was, therefore, over two years old.
