Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 12:30pm - 3:45pm. At the time of entrance, 103 children were in care with 16 staff members present. Children were observed during nap time, infants were observed crawling and teachers were singing to them. The site was clean, organized and contained a varied supply of developmentally appropriate materials. A selection of 5 staff and 5 children records, the physical space, emergency supplies, evacuation drills, attendance records, required posted documents and medications were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Based on record review and interview, it was determined that the center did not have a central registry finding within 30 days of employment for every employee or volunteer. Evidence: 1) On the date of inspection, a central registry finding for Staff #2 [date of hire 02/26/2016] was not available for review. 2) The director reported that Staff #2 transferred from another facility and it must have been misplaced when they transferred the staff's record.

We will have the Staff complete the background check.
