Based on observation and interview, the center did not ensure when an infant falls asleep in a play space that is not safe, the child is moved to an appropriate sleep area.
Evidence:
Child #1, 12 months in age, was observed sleeping in a beanbag chair on the floor of the infant room. Staff #1 stated that infants sometimes sleep in the beanbag chairs. An infant who falls asleep in a play space as specified in subdivision 5a may remain in that space if comfortable and safe, beanbag chairs are not considered a safe sleep surface.
