Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidelines for Child Care Programs.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary duet to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on May 11, 2021. The Director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 46 children with 9 staff present. The Inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children's records and 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-F
Description: Based on a review of the menu and after discussion with the Director, the center does not follow the most recent age-appropriate nutritional requirements of a recognized authority such as the Child and Adult Care Food Program of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Evidence:
Based on the foods served today (5/11/2021) Cheese Pizza, cucumbers, carrots and milk, the center did not meet the USDA food components requirements.

Plan of Correction: The center will follow the components necessary to meet the nutritional requirements of a recognized authority.
