Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted October 16 2019 between 9:30am and 11:00am. There was 1 child in the direct care of the provider. Child was observed eating breakfast, washing hands, and watching a television program. The home is clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are listed on the violation notice. Based on direct observation, the provider did not ensure all foods that are hard, round, small, or smooth and slippery such as uncut grapes were served to a child under the age of 4 years before being served in a manner that will reduce the risk of choking.
Evidence: The provider served a bowl of fruit containing uncut strawberries and uncut grapes to a child that is not yet 4 years old.
