Technical Assistance:
Today we discussed the specifications of cleaning versus sanitizing items to - include that that sanitizing requires that items or surfaces be "sprayed or dipped". Disinfecting wipes would not meet the criteria for sanitizing. However, you may use disinfecting wipes on items in addition to sanitizing with spray for items ?required? to be sanitized.

When parent indicate that a child may not consume certain foods, please be sure that you have sufficient documentation to specify whether the child has an ALLERGY, Sensitivity, or that the food is not consumed due to a religious preference, etc. If a child has a food ALLERGY, additional documentation is required from the child?s physician.

Staff are currently using ProCare (digital attendance) for checking children?s attendance in addition to using a written form in their classrooms to document children as they arrive and depart. You may want to add a second column to this form so that their arrival and their departure are more clearly differentiated.

The inspector shared information regarding ?Portability? of background checks for any staff who may work at more than one facility.

Comments:
An initial subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was completed. A Religious Exempt (RECDC) monitoring inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
