Technical Assistance:
All staff are required to complete the Health and Safety Update training.
Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 09/24/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspector arrived at 10:40 AM and departed at2 2:00 PM. A sample size of six staff records and five children's records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Based upon review of six staff records, the facility has not ensured that staff obtain CPR certification that includes an in-person competency demonstration. Evidence Staff 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 obtained CPR certification from an on-line course that did not include an in-person competency demonstration.
