Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 8/18/2020 and concluded on 8/24/2020. The provider or in-charge person was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 2 children present and 1 staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 1 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on a review of records and interview, the provider was not able to demonstrate that a record containing all required elements was maintained for each enrolled child. Evidence: The documentation submitted by the provider for child #1 did not include results of a health examination. When asked for this documentation, the provider was unable to locate it.
Plan of Correction:
The provider stated that she has asked the parent for this documentation and should have it by 9/3/2020.
