Comments:
An unannounced on-site monitoring non mandated inspection was conducted on 12/19/2023. There were 31 children, ages 6 months-12 years, and 6 staff members present during the inspection. The inspector observed the following: free choice activities, nap time, and TV time. A total of 3 children?s records and 1 staff record, were reviewed. The inspector discussed the following with staff: attendance requirements, playground safety. The two inspectors arrived at 12:20 PM and departed at 2:40 PM.

Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that all handwashing procedures were followed according to the standard.
Evidence:
1. Observed staff # 2 changing two infants. Staff did not wash their hands before and after changing each infant. The staff person finished changing the child, placed the infants in the highchair for lunch without washing their hands. 2. The preschool classroom used hand sanitizer after eating lunch. Children?s hands shall be washed with soap and water or disposable wipe before and after eating.
