Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 1:45 pm - 3:15 pm. There were 105 children in care being supervised by 15 staff. The children were observed resting and preparing for snack. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and four staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on review of the infant room it was determined that not all children who were placed in feeding chairs utilized protective belts. Child A and Child B were observed seated in infant table chairs. The protective belts were hanging under the seat and not being utilized.
Plan of Correction:
Staff will utilize the protective belts when children are seated at the infant table.
