Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A(monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 5/22/20. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were (no) children present and (1) staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed (2) children?s records and (2) staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on staff record review, two staff records did not include all required information. Evidence: Only 1 out of 2 references required for Staff #1 was found. References for Staff #1 and #2 did not include the date of contact and the signature of the person making the call.
Plan of Correction:
We will ensure that this information is documented on all references obtained and we will ensure that a minimum of 2 references will be obtained for all new hires prior to hire date.
