Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on May 26, 2020 and concluded on June 1, 2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 66 children present and 18 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 4 children's records and 4 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-90--A
Description: Based on record review and discussion, the center failed to ensure that a written agreement between the parent and the center shall be in each child's record by the first day of the child's attendance.

Evidence:

1. The written agreement for Child #3 was dated 02/06/2019 and the child's first day of attendance was 02/04/2019.
2. The written agreement for Child #4 was dated 08/02/2019 and the child's first day of attendance was 09/03/2018.
3. Staff verified the above information.
