A monitoring inspection was conducted today. While at the facility to finalize a previous inspection, it was determined that two rooms were supervised by one staff person. There were 15 children supervised by one staff member. See violation notice for non-compliance. The violation was reviewed with the owner at the time of the inspection.
Based on observation a room containing children age 3 years old to school age eligible did not maintain a 1 staff to 10 children ration. Evidence: A LI arrival, approximately 10:15 AM, 15 children were observed in the "Red" and "Green" rooms with one staff member standing in the doorway between the two rooms. 10 children were in the "Red Room", 5 children were in the "Green" room. The children were identified as 4 year old children by the staff member supervising the rooms. A second staff person arrived after 1-2 minutes.
