An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted of the religiously exempt program at Gateway Community Church. There were 80 children in the care of 10 staff members. A review was conducted of staff file requirements, background checks, child file requirements, background searches, and the posting requirements of a religiously exempt program. Based on record review, the religious exempt program was unable to provide documentation that a central registry search was submitted and completed for each staff member.
