Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 03/01/2021 and concluded on 03/09/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There 3 children and 1 provider present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed 2 children's records, 1 provider record and 1 household member record during the inspection to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Based on record review and discussion, the provider failed to maintain a current certification in CPR.
Evidence: The record for Provider #1 contained a certification in CPR that expired on 07/25/2020; there was not an updated certification completed in 2020.
