Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was initiated and completed on March 12, 2021. There were 48 children present with 16 staff. The inspector emailed the owner a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed four children's records, four staff records and agent background checks submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care Programs.
Based on a review of documentation, the licensee did not provide to the licensing representative an annual fire inspection report from the appropriate fire official having jurisdiction.
Evidence: The administrator confirmed that the most recent fire inspection report for the center was more than one year old and was dated 2/18/2020.
Plan of Correction:
I will call the fire marshall's office to try to get an inspection done.
