Today we discussed ratios for children during nap time.

A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/10/19 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:10 p.m. to review supplemental health and safety requirements.
At the time of entrance, the following adult to child ratios were observed:
15 children ages 23 months to 3 years old, with 2 staff during nap time.
The records sample size consisted of 5 children?s records and 6 staff records. Children were observed resting quietly at nap time, and playing quietly on cots. Infants were observed sleeping and having an afternoon snack. Posted information as well as written information for parents was reviewed. All areas used by the children in care were inspected. Transportation was not observed during the inspection. However, standards regarding transportation were reviewed.
A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
