An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on August 1, 2019 from approximately 11:15 AM to 2:00 PM to determine the center's compliance with licensing standards. The following staff to child ratios were observed in the children's groups: 5-6 years 1:21 (later 2:21), 6-7 years 2:25, 7-8 years 2:30, 8-9 years 2:26, 9-10 years 1:14. The licensing inspector observed children participating in a variety of activities. The staff were observed to be engaged with the children in age appropriate activities and to be meeting the needs of the children in care. Children bring a packed lunch from home and snacks are provided by the facility. The facility had the following posted: license, emergency numbers, evacuation maps/procedures, daily schedule, menu, and various parent information. Medications and authorizations were reviewed. The first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. Ten children's records were reviewed. Based on review of staff emergency contacts, the center did not ensure each staff person present today had emergency contact information. Evidence: Out of ten staff present today, three staff did not have emergency contact information documented.

Description:
Based on observation, the center did not ensure that there was one staff member for every 18 children for children five years through eight years of age. Evidence: The licensing inspector observed one staff supervising 21 children in the five and six year old classroom.
