Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 7/15/20 and concluded on 7/17/20. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 6 children present (6 points) and one caregiver. The inspector emailed the director/provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed two children?s records and two caregiver records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Based on a review of six children's records, it was determined that the provider did not ensure that before the child's first day of attendance, parents shall be provided in writing all of the required information.
Evidence: 1. The records for child #1 and child #2 did not contained all of the required items. 2. The provider confirmed that the children's records did not contain all of the required items.
Plan of Correction:
The provider responded: The parents of all the children will be asked to complete all of the required information.
