Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 07/10/2020 and concluded on 07/16/2020. The Director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 0 children present and 3 staff. The inspector emailed the Provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. Two staff and three children?s records were reviewed to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Based on record review and staff statement, a staff member did not have a completed Out of State Central Registry (CPS) within 45 days of employment. Evidence: Staff #2 was hired 2/14/2020 and the Out of State CPS form was not sent until July 10, 2020. The program closed 3/20/2020 and will reopen 7/27/2020 due to the National Health Crisis-COVID 19.
Plan of Correction:
Director will call the State to inquire about the background check status Starting 8/10/2020
