A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 8/18/2023 10:22 a.m. ? 7:00 p.m. There were 123 children present ranging from infants to school age and 16 staff supervising. A renewal inspection was also conducted. Both inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. The information gathered during the inspection determined a violation with applicable standards or laws. A violation notice was issued. Based on record review, the provider failed to ensure that staff shall complete annually the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored health and safety update course.
Evidence: The records for S6, employed 02/28/2022 and S7, employed 08/15/2022 did not contain a certificate of showing completion of the 2023 annual health and safety update course.
