Comments:
A renewal inspection was conducted on 11/29/2022 with the provider and assistant. There were 6 children present, ranging in ages from 11 months to 4 years, totaling 17 points. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 new child records and 2 caregiver records were reviewed. The children were waking from rest, having snack, and playing with age appropriate toys.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, staff interview, and record review, the provider failed to ensure that a caregiver does not exceed 16 points. Evidence: when the licensing inspector arrived at approximately 2:45 p.m. on 11/29/2022, there was one caregiver with 6 children, totaling 17 points. The provider arrived at approximately 3:00 p.m. and stated she had to run a quick errand. The provider stated that there were 17 points present when she left.
Plan of Correction:
The provider had to pick up her grandson from school. She stated she could not take a child with her because she loaned her car seat to a parent. She will purchase a new care seat and take a child with her in the future.
