A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on November 1, 2022. There were 14 children present with two staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Based on review of four staff records, the center did not ensure one staff member completed Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff within the first 90 days of employment.
Evidence:
1. The record of staff #2, hired 12/13/2021, did not contain documentation of completing the Virginia Preservice Training, exceeding 90 days from employment. 2. A member of management stated staff #2 had completed the training however documentation could not be located.
