An announced initial study was conducted from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm with administrative staff. The classrooms were observed and measured for capacity. The center is well-equipped with age and stage appropriate furnishings, equipment, and materials. The cribs meet Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) federal safety standards for cribs. The center's policies and procedures, emergency preparedness plan, and playground safety procedures were reviewed. The outdoor area was observed. A qualified director is in place. The center has a current fire inspection and health inspection. The first aid kit, battery operated flashlight and radio were observed and in compliance.
