Provided technical assistance on standard:
1) 500.B.5 Hand washing and toileting procedures: disposable diapers shall be disposed of in a leakproof or plastic-lined storage system that is either foot-operated or used in such a way that neither the staff member's hand nor the soiled diaper touches an exterior surface of the storage system during disposal.
2) 270.A: Building maintenance: Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.
2) 330.B: Where playground equipment is provided, resilient surfacing shall comply with minimum safety standards (minimum 6" mulch under equipment and in fall zone.) A fall zone shall encompass sufficient area to include the child's trajectory in the event of a fall while equipment is in use, and must be free of hazardous obstacles (6' distance from other equipment/obstacles.)

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm with the center director. There were 18 children, ranging from nine months to five years of age, present with ten staff supervising. The older children were observed watching an age appropriate video, completing a seasonal art project, playing with play doh and washing hands. Infants were observed eating and playing. Two children's records, two staff records and two applicant/agent records were reviewed and in compliance. Three medications, authorization forms and allergy action plans were reviewed and in compliance. The emergency escape drill log was observed and in compliance. The last health inspection was: 7/16/2021 and the last fire inspection was: 6/29/2021.
