Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 12:00pm-12:40pm. There were 9 children directly supervised by 2 caregivers. The home, 3 caregiver records, 5 children?s records, 2 household member?s records, 2 pet records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed dancing and being read to. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for children. The home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Based on record review, evacuation drills were not practiced monthly. Evidence: No evacuation drills were documented during November and December of 2023.

Based on record review, substitute providers' records did not contain documentation of the time of arrivals and departures as required by 8VAC20-800-140 D. Evidence: The substitute provider was substituting for the provider on the date of inspection. The provider time record was not filled out to reflect the time served in the substitute role.
