Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A code compliance inspection was initiated on and concluded on 3/11/21. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 16 children and 3 staff present. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 4 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. A virtual walk through of the center was conducted during which classrooms and outdoor space was reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable code sections and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. Based on record review and staff interview, the center did not maintain VA central registry findings for an employee. Evidence: 1. Staff # 1's record did not include the VA central registry finding results. 2. Staff # 1 stated that she could not locate the results.
Plan of Correction:
A notarized request has been submitted by the center to request the results. The center will follow up with the licensing inspector as soon as the results have been obtained.
