A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection were initiated on 02/22/2024 and concluded on 02/22/2024. There were 16 children present with 7 staff supervising ranging in age from 6 months to 4 years. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on record review, the provider failed to ensure that all staff will complete the department's annual health and safety update course.
Evidence: 1. The record of Staff # 5 did not contain documentation of the department's health and safety update course, which is to be completed annually. 2. Administration confirmed that the 2023 3 hour annual update training was not in Staff #5's record.
Plan of Correction:
All staff will complete their 3 hour annual health and safety update training.
