Comments:
The inspector conducted an announced mandated inspection from 10:00 am until 12:15. This is a new facility; no children are in care yet. All of the building inside and outside was inspected and measured. All required supplies including learning materials and toys were inspected. Emergency supplies and procedures were inspected. Required documents for staff training were reviewed. Board officer background checks were reviewed and are on file at the licensing office. The director has the required eduction and experience to meet licensing standards and has been the director at another licensed center. Violations are identified on the violation notice. Please contact your inspector at (276) 698-9981 with any questions.
Based on observation, the center had an area that was not maintained in a safe condition.
Evidence:
1. The inspector observed a metal railing with sharp corners when you exit the door to go to the infant and toddler playground.
Plan of Correction:
Director will have foam fit around the corners.

Description:
Based on observation and measurement, a child's sink had temperature that was higher than it was supposed to be.
Evidence:
1. The inspector measured the water temperature in the preschool 1 classsroom and it was 124 degrees.
Plan of Correction:
The director will have the water temperature adjusted so it is not higher than 120 degrees.
