Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 1/28/2021and concluded on 02/19/2021 . The director was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection. There were 66 children present with 15 staff present. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 4 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. The licensing inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with the applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on record review and interview, the center did not complete required monthly drills. Evidence: 1. The center did not complete drills in June and October.
Plan of Correction:
There is now a health and safety designated staff person that schedules drills for the center.
