Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was offered regarding background checks for staff, and children's records.
Comments:
An announced initial inspection was conducted from 9:50 am to 10:50 am. A walk through of the center was conducted to assess space that will be used for children. A walk through of the outdoor playground was also conducted. The emergency preparedness plan and first aid supplies were reviewed. Areas on non compliance are listed in the violation notice. Based on observation, areas and furnishings outside were not maintained in a safe and operable condition. Evidence: 1. Wood on the storage house located on the playground was found to be broken and splintering in several areas. 2. Peeling red paint was found on the storage house on the playground. 3. On the playground, there was broken siding at the bottom of the building across from the storage house, posing an injury hazard for the children.
Plan of Correction:
These issues will be reported to maintenance.
