The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced renewal inspection on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 3:45pm to approximately 5:20pm. The site director was present and assisted the inspector throughout the inspection. The census for today?s inspection consisted of 35 children in the direct care of 2 staff members. During the inspection, the children were observed engaged in a variety of activities. Upon the inspector?s arrival, a group of children was observed in the cafeteria coming from the playground. Later, the children were observed doing homework and during tutoring groups. The older children were observed playing in the gym with their designated group. All staff members in each grouping of children were observed having positive interactions with the children. All areas of the center used by the program, including the cafeteria, gym, hallways, bathrooms, and playgrounds were inspected. The center is equipped with toys and supplies and items are available to the children. The first aid kit and non-emergency supplies were inspected and found to be in compliance. Per the director, there are no medications present at the center at this time. During the inspection, five children?s records and staff information required to be present at the center for staff members was reviewed.
