Comments:
A renewal inspection was initiated on 02/18/2022 and concluded on 03/01/2022. The facility submitted documentation to the inspector on 02/18/2022 and the inspector conducted an unannounced inspection on-site on 02/23/2022 from approximately 3:30pm to 4:45pm. On 02/23/2022, there were 21 children present with 2 staff directly supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of two child records and two staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on a review of documentation and interview, the center did not provide an annual fire inspection from the appropriate fire official having jurisdiction.
Evidence: 1) The documentation provided for the annual fire inspection was dated 10/20/2020. 2) During interviews, a member of management acknowledged an annual fire inspection had not been completed by the appropriate fire official since 10/20/2020.
Plan of Correction:
The facility is working with the appropriate parties to ensure an annual fire inspection is scheduled and conducted as soon as possible. In the future, the facility will ensure an annual fire inspection is conducted.
