Technical Assistance:
Reviewed with the center standard 420.B ( Staff shall promptly inform parents when persistent behavioral problems are identified; such notification shall include any disciplinary steps take in response). The notifications shall be provided in writing.
Comments:
A complaint was received involving standards for sight and sound supervision, care, protection and guidance, forbidden action, behavioral guidance and staff qualifications. The complaint was initiated on 4/5/24 and concluded on 4/9/24. Interviews, observation and a review of recordkeeping were conducted and the complaint was determined to be invalid. The one violation was non complaint related. The violation can be viewed on the violation notice.
Repeat Violation: Fall zones shall not include any barriers, be free from hazardous obstacles and shall not overlap. 1. The composite climber with the green slide on the Pre-K playground overlapped the composite climber with the red slide by 6 feet and was within 6 feet from the posts of the pavilion. 2. The composite climber with the red slide was within 6 feet of the posts from the pavilion.
Plan of Correction:
Corrected. The red climber was sold but they were unable to pick up. We only have 1 climber located 6 feet from each pole in the playground.
