Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 2/12/2021 and concluded on 2/18/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were no children present on the day the inspection was initiated. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 provider / Household member records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on a review of records, the licensee did not ensure that documentation of a physical examination is obtained for each enrolled child.
Evidence: Two children's records were reviewed. The record for child #2 did not contain results of a physical examination. When asked for this documentation, the provider stated that she did not have it.
Plan of Correction:
The provider stated that she would request the results of the last well child visit for Child #2 from the parent this week.
