INSPECTION SUMMARY
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 11/16/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 2 children present, ranging in ages from 15 months to 2 years old, with 1 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 child records and 2 provider / household records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on a review of records and interview, the provider did not ensure that subsequent Tuberculosis Screenings are obtained within 2 years of the previous Tuberculosis screening. Evidence: Two provider / Household Member records were reviewed. The record for provider #1, whose last Tuberculosis screening was conducted 6/7/2019,did not contain an updated screening. The record for household member #2, whose last Tuberculosis screening was conducted 6/13/2019,did not contain an updated screening. The provider confirmed that updated screenings had not been completed.
Plan of Correction:
The provider stated that she did not realize that these screenings had expired. She stated that she will call to schedule new screenings for provider / household Members #1 and #2 this week and will send updated screening results upon completion.
