Technical Assistance:
Required monthly evacuation drills were reviewed with the provider.
Comments:
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 11/16/2023. There were 5 children present, totaling 15 points, with 2 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 3 staff/household records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program. The violation was reviewed with the provider during the exit interview.
Based upon a review of staff records, the provider has not ensure that a search of he child abuse and neglect registry from any state in which an individual has resided in the preceding five years is obtained. Evidence: The record provided for staff 2 indicated that staff 2 lived in Missouri within five years preceding hire. Results of a child abuse and neglect registry search from Missouri were not obtained.
Plan of Correction:
The provider responded with the following: A search of the child abuse and neglect central registry will be immediately requested.
