Comments:
A complaint inspection was initiated on 8/8/23 and concluded on 8/8/23. There were 65 children present with 11 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staffing and supervision, and nutrition. The inspection started at 9:18am and concluded at 11:30am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on discussions with staff the center failed to ensure that a person under 18 years of age is not alone with a grouping of children. (See exception statement for this standard)
Evidence:
Interviews with staff determined that staff #1, who is 17 years of age, was alone with a grouping of children on numerous occasions.
Plan of Correction:
Staff under the age of 18 will not be left alone with the children.

Description:
Based on observations and discussions with staff the center failed to ensure the infant room ratio was met as required.
Evidence:
On 8/8/23, at approximately 9:20am, the inspector observed 13 infants with 3 staff. The required ratio for this age grouping is 1 staff to 4 children.
Plan of Correction:
The ratio was corrected within 15 minutes. Ratios in all rooms will be followed.

On 8/8/23 the inspector observed numerous bottles and food not labeled and dated as required.
