Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated on December 30, 2020 and concluded on January 8, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The inspector conducted a virtual inspection via video conferencing with the director. There were 21 children present under the care and supervision of 5 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed five children?s records and three staff records, including one new staff, submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The licensing inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Based on review of documentation, the center did not obtain documentation of a physical exam within 30 days of enrollment. Evidence: Child #1, enrolled 8/17/2020, did not have documentation of a physical in the file.
