Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on June 7, 2021 and concluded on June 22, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 40 children present and 6 staff. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable subsidy regulations. No violations were issued.
Based on review of documentation and interview with the director, it was determined that the center failed to obtain a written allergy care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy. Evidence: Child #4, enrolled 8/17/2020, did not have an allergy care plan on file.
Plan of Correction:
After repeated attempts to secure an allergy action plan, the parent was notified via email that the child may return to school when allergy action plan is provided
