Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 3/11/2024. There were 34 children, ages 3 months-16 months, 10 staff and 2 administrative staff present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, environment and equipment, care of children, preventing the spread of disease, emergencies and nutrition. Medication was observed onsite. A total of 4 children?s records, 4 staff records and 7 medications were reviewed. The children were observed during lunch and nap time. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 11:04am and departed the center at 1:00pm.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.
Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that the required nonabsorbent surface for diapering was used.
Evidence: The changing pad in the 12-16 month classroom was separated at the seam in the middle on the front side and the padding was exposed.
Plan of Correction:
Provider will replace changing pad.
