A complaint was received on August 13, 2020 concerning behavior management, physical punishment, withholding food, parent communication, compliance with center policies and ensuring the care, protection and guidance of children. The complaint investigation was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. After completion of staff interviews on September 1, 2020 and a thorough review of the facts, it was determined that the complaint was not valid. There were no violations resulting from this investigation.
