Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews (if applicable) and a virtual tour of the program (if applicable).
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 11-18-21 and concluded on 12-3-21. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 42 children present, ranging in ages from 6 months to 5 years, with nine staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of four child records and four staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on a review of four staff files the facility failed to ensure that all staff have completed all required background checks. Evidence: 1. There is no central registry check on file for staff # 4. (hire date 6-20-19)
Plan of Correction:
The director reported that this was an oversight. The staff member has completed the form and it has been mailed.
