Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Consulted on ensuring occupied cribs are pulled apart during rest time, on-line Daily Health Screening for Children and electronic forms.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 03/11/2021 and concluded on 03/23/2021. The Center Administration was contacted by email to initiate the inspection. There were sixty children with direct care staff within ratio for supervision. Observed several classrooms using FaceTime. Children engaged in circle time, infant care, and on the playground. Reviewed a sample of children and staff records, trainings and emergency preparation. No medication was reported to be on-site the day of the inspection. Food for lunch is provided by the parent. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. Based on center administration statement, no staff member has current daily health observation training during all hours of operation. Evidence: Daily Health Observation training certification expired 11/2020.

The center administration will schedule a trainer to conduct Daily Health Observation training for staff within the next 2 weeks.
