Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Emergemcy plans were also discussed in regards to procedures, accessibilioty to supplies and logistics of plan.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 11/04/2020 and concluded on 11/13/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 18 children present and 4 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-430-K
Description: Based on observation the center did not have provision for an individual place for each child's personal belongings.
Evidence:
On one side of the preschool classroom there were several personal belongings hanging on hooks. Some were next to eachother and others were spaced out. There were no labels to identify an individual place was designated for each child.

Plan of Correction: The following plan of correction was provided during the exit interview:
The class on the opther side of the room has individual spaces for each child and clearly labeled. The same will be put into place on the other side.
